Delete your account
Last updated: 17 August 2026
This page explains how to have your JainERP™ account closed and what happens to the data attached to it. It applies to all three apps — Mandir Admin, Devotee and Sant — and to the web portals.
How to request deletion
In the Devotee app, delete it yourself: Profile → Delete account. It takes effect immediately — no request, no waiting.
Otherwise, email hello@jainerp.org from the address on your account, or send the request from the mobile number you sign in with, stating the app you use and the temple/trust you belong to. Temple staff can also ask their own mandir administrator, who can deactivate a staff account immediately from the admin portal.
We acknowledge within 72 hours and complete verified requests within 30 days, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What is deleted
Your profile — name, email, address and city, PAN, gotra and the temples you are linked to — and every device session, which signs you out everywhere. Your giving history is unlinked from you and stops appearing in the app.
Deletion is final: signing in again with the same mobile number gives you a new, empty account rather than restoring the old one.
What is kept, and why
Donation and financial records are retained. Receipts, 80G certificates, Form 10BD/10BE data and the temple's accounting entries are statutory records under Indian income-tax and trust law, and the temple/trust — not JainERP — is the entity legally required to keep them. Where a record must name a donor to remain valid, that name and PAN stay on the record itself; they are not used for anything else once your account is closed.
Anything not bound by that obligation is deleted rather than anonymised, and backups age out within 35 days.
