Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data Tasqbots Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“we”) collects through the jainerp.org website and the JainERP™ platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We build for compliance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA).
What we collect
Website forms (Request a demo, Custom plan enquiry): name, mobile number, email (optional), temple/trust name and city, plus anything else you choose to add — a preferred demo date, time and language, a message, or your trust’s requirements. Used only to respond to your enquiry and arrange a demo, and seen only by the JainERP team.
Platform accounts (temple staff, devotees, Sadhu-Sadhvi sangh representatives): mobile number (used for OTP sign-in), name, and profile details you or your temple provide. Donation records may include PAN where Indian income-tax rules require it for 80G receipts; PAN is stored encrypted and is shown masked except on the statutory 80G receipt itself.
Location — only when you ask for it. Two features can read your device’s location, both behind an explicit tap, and neither runs in the background: “near me”, which centres a map or an accommodation search on you and does not send your position to us; and “report a sighting”, where you may optionally attach coordinates to a report that a Sadhu-Sadhvi is at a particular place. A sighting you submit is shared with that ascetic’s own sangh representative for confirmation and is stored with your name against it. Declining the permission leaves both features usable by typing a city instead.
A Sadhu-Sadhvi’s published location is entered by their authorised sangh representative for the community to see. It describes where the ascetic is staying and is intended to be public to followers. The sangh representative may use their own device’s approximate location to fill it in — only when they tap to do so, and the place is theirs to confirm or edit before it is published. Nothing is read in the background, and the ascetic carries no device.
Notifications: transactional messages (donation receipts, booking confirmations, one-time passwords) are delivered to your mobile number over WhatsApp/SMS through our messaging provider. These are service messages, not marketing.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data. We do not run third-party advertising or tracking on this website. Temple financial data belongs to the temple/trust that operates the account.
Where data lives
Platform data is hosted in Indian cloud regions, and you can export your temple’s records at any time. The web and mobile apps read and write to that cloud database directly. The Windows and Linux desktop app additionally keeps a copy of your temple’s data on that machine, so the counter keeps working during an internet outage and syncs when the connection returns — that local copy is under your control, not ours.
Retention and your rights
Financial records (donations, receipts, 80G filings) are retained as required by Indian tax and trust law; identity records linked to donations cannot be erased while those statutory obligations apply, but accounts can be deactivated. For access, correction, or grievance requests under the DPDPA, write to hello@jainerp.org — we respond within the statutory timelines.
Mobile apps
The JainERP™ Android and iOS apps (Mandir Admin, Devotee, Sant) collect the same data as the platform accounts described above. Three things are specific to the apps:
Biometric unlock. Where you enable fingerprint or face unlock, the check is performed by your device’s own operating system. We never receive, store or transmit your fingerprint or face data — the app is only told whether the device accepted it.
Device identifier. Each installation generates a random identifier so that sign-in sessions can be listed and revoked per device. It is not an advertising identifier, it is not shared, and it is cleared when you sign out.
On-device storage. Sign-in tokens are held in the device’s secure keystore (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain). Temple records are fetched over an encrypted connection and are not written to unprotected storage.
The apps contain no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking across other apps or websites. To delete an account, see Delete your account — or contact your temple administrator; statutory retention of financial records described above still applies.
Changes
We will update this page when the policy changes; the date above reflects the latest revision.
